I’m Suzanne Esposito, LCSW, Founder and Clinical Director of Terra Psychotherapy — I work with children, preteens, teens, parents, and women navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, or loss.

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I want every client to feel like they can show up as they are, without having to perform.

I’ve spent over a decade working across the full continuum of mental health care — from inpatient and partial hospital psychiatric programs to outpatient private practice, including years directing a 38-bed adolescent inpatient unit. That gave me deep, hands-on training in DBT, Collaborative Problem Solving, and play therapy, which I bring directly into sessions today.

I also specialize in perinatal mental health. I’m a member of Postpartum Support International and completed their in-depth training in perinatal mental health, with ongoing training through the Perinatal Collective — this work asks for specialized knowledge, not general reassurance, and it’s what I bring to every session in this space.

At Terra, I created two structured programs: Terra Sprouts, a weekly play therapy curriculum for children ages 4-10, and IRL DBT, a skills-based virtual DBT group for teens focused on applying skills to real situations, not just learning them in theory.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and Connecticut, with an MSW from Fordham University. I see clients in person in New Canaan, CT, with a second location in Chappaqua, NY coming soon.
